TIU Bikini Series – Day 1

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted on this blog and I don’t think there could be a better time to start posting again. I just finished day 1 of the Tone It Up Bikini Series!

Day 1

Today was rainy and kind of nasty out so I woke up already dreading the day. However, I had a tinge of excitement coursing through me because I would be starting Day 1 of the series with an amazing group of girls that I follow on Instagram (@balancing_in_sneakers) and Snapchat (@heyythisisaj). I definitely recommend going on there and following some TIU girls. They are hardcore and so much fun! 

First thing I did was get my espresso machine ready to make a latte (wait for it) and then I got my tired booty on the treadmill for my morning booty call (morning workout, in TIU language, haha). I was supposed to do 20-30 minutes but I ended up cutting it short at 11 minutes because nature called and I had to answer! (If that grosses you out, this isn’t the blog for you…😂) Left for work shortly after, got halfway to my office and realized that even though I went through the process of putting espresso in the thingy and turning the machine on, I never actually made my latte. 😡 Bummmmmer. 

Went to work and made a Jimmy Dean egg white and turkey bowl (actually not that unhealthy and it has a lot of protein). I’ll save you the boring play by play of my day but I ended up drinking 4 bottles of water while at work and that’s a lot for me. I felt like I couldn’t get enough. Lunch was a Smart Ones flatbread pizza (are you noticing a trend here?). Later on that day I finished up my cardio when I got home and did 3 sets of the 5 daily moves while my sweet boyfriend played guitar and chilled out after work. WARNING: This may shock you but I had a burger and fries for dinner. AND I don’t regret it. Granted it was just a hamburger, and I got a half order of fries instead of a whole (This combo is called a ranch burger and you can get it from what a burger #13!!). ❤️

I ended my day with Sons of Anarchy and quality time with Clayton. 

Take away: 

  • Do what works for you 
  • Make the plan fit in your schedule 
  • Don’t take yourself too seriously 
  • Eat a freaking burger every once in a while. 

Things I’ll do differently tomorrow: 

  • Drink ACV with my emergen-c pack that I try to take everyday. 
  • Get up at 6:45 (instead of 7:15) and take time to actually make my coffee. 
  • Make sure to take my vitamins.
